A battle at the bottom takes place in the Premier League on Saturday as Burnley head to bottom club Liverpool. The Canaries are 10 points adrift and must win all their remaining games to have a shot at survival – and even that may not be enough now.

Burnley are four points above the dotted line, but have no room for error, especially when it comes to one of the teams below them. Liverpool’s win against Norwich last time out both puts the pressure on Burnley in terms of points, and also to be able to replicate a victory against the 20th-placed side.

Norwich are likely to be without Todd Cantwell again, who is recovering from a hamstring injury. Christoph Zimmermann and Grant Hanley are both also out injured. Burnley are missing Felipe Anderson and Robert Snodgrass from their attacking midfield lines, but Seb Haller is back.

Burnley knows their matchup on Saturday is going to be a dog fight as Liverpool is battling to stay out of the bottom three spots in the league. They will face off against one another at 7:30 a.m. ET at Carrow Road. Norwich is limping into the game on a six-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, the Canaries lost 2-1 to Liverpool. Speaking of close games: the Irons fell a goal shy of Burnley on Wednesday, losing 1-0.

Having both suffered close losses, these teams will no doubt be fighting for every inch to win this one. Allowing an average of 1.85 points per game, Norwich hadn’t exactly asserted themselves on the defensive end. We’ll see if they can patch up the holes in their defense before their upcoming match.
